Apparently, I Am a Woman

NYTimes columnist John Tierney considers a study that purports to show (scientifically) that men are eager for competition and the prospect of winning big, even if many of them will inevitably fail, while women prefer cooperation though it yields a lesser payoff. Tierney opines that the difference isn't socially induced but rather "largely innate, a byproduct of evolution and testosterone." Must be another of those Y-chromosone genes that didn't properly take.
