Things You Can Learn From VH1 Commercials - Call me old fashioned, but it's disturbing enough to think of mature-themed pop music like Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" or Britney's "Toxic" being marketed to pre-teens. What genius decided they should offer a CD of such tunes actually sung by kids? Does no one follow lyrics? Judging from sales, not the parents. Sure the Kidz Bop songs are sanitized, but the rest of us can't hear "This Love" without knowing what Adam Levine means when he sings about keeping his girlfriend coming every night.
