The Fairfax Connection - Where the Post failed to report, the Washington Blade covers the NoVa rally against the Marriage Affirmation Act. A couple of notes:

  • Does the military regulate appearances at political events in uniform?

  • What to make of the general reaction by the bigot brigade to this week's rallys? Across the board, they are backpedaling from the position that the law negates wills, medical directives and similar marriage-like arrangements. The Virginia Family Foundation, no less, reassures us that "this law will not in any way affect contracts that any Virginian, including homosexuals, can enter into every day."

I'm just sorry I missed last weekend's rally outside the residence of Bob Marshall, the virulently anti-gay Manassass theocon behind the new statute. The poor homophobe was quite disturbed to face an angry gay mob outside his own home. Heh.
