Let's Do the Timewarp - You have to wonder which decade we are in when it is headline-worthy news that "Bush Backs Condom Use to Prevent Spread of AIDS." Are we sure this isn't a story from 1989? Of course, in presenting his views before a church-affiliated group (you know, because churches are the front lines of any STD epidemic) W stuck with abstinence outside of (straight) marriage as his prevention method of choice.

Not that I believe condoms are a perfect solution, mind you. But luckily HIV is a hard virus to catch, and even though rubbers are prone to breakage and other malfuctions, they do lower the transmission percentages to a tolerable range. Because there's no safe sex, just safer sex. Glad to have George backing a "science-based approach" for a change.
