Some California officials were caught off-guard by questioning from a correspondent from The Daily Show: Sacramento County election official Jill Levine "had never heard of 'The Daily Show' before agreeing to the interview. Likewise, producers hit pay dirt with [State Senator John] Vasconcellos, who said he hasn't turned on a television in 15 years." Well, first off, why aren't they watching TV? But more importantly, why did no one from either of their respective staff warn them?
