The District Report - By now I'm sure most Bhaus readers from DC have received one of those chain letter emails about the new local law prohibiting driving with a cell phone without a hands-free device. (Does California outlaw that yet? Along with smoke-free bars, this seems to be one of the more popular government-as-nanny statutes out there among liberal jurisdictions.) However, I'm counting on the MPD focusing their arrests on Maryland and Virginia drivers. Because when you won't give us a commuter income tax, we get our pound of flesh in other ways.

In other news, I'm wondering how Ken Starr came to testify yesterday in favor of the Davis plan to grant limited congressional representation to DC. Was the Pepperdine law school dean not busy with all the invitations to review My Life by Bill Clinton?
