Business to the Rescue? - I can't speak for Ohio (see below), but apparently Virginia has a cadre of reasonable voters, and they are willing to put their money where their mouth is. That's the basis to a story in Sunday's WaPo about a new PAC, supported by centrist business leaders, who intend to fight for fiscal moderates who helped the Commonwealth pass a balanced budget this past year in the face of whithering attacks from the anti-tax right wing. While clearly not focused on social issues, I would hope this effort could be a bulwark against further Nazification of the Virginia General Assembly. (Although I don't expect miracles in a legislature that overwhelmingly supported a ban on gay partnership contracts.)
