Who's down with G.O.D.? - Oh, those wacky born-again Southern Baptists and their convention resolutions. In the past they have reaffirmed that homosexuality is an abomination, that wives should graciously submit to their husbands, and that Jews need to convert. Now the Virginian-Pilot takes a look at their latest proposal -- to be presented at the annual meeting in June -- to call for a wholesale exodus of their children from "godless" public schools. What do you think, Ben? Is it true, as one Christian teacher puts it, that "Being Christians, we have a whole different set of values than what you’ll be able to accommodate in a public school system"?

Oh, that reminds me -- I really want to go see Saved this weekend. (Notable gay connections: Michael Stipe executive produces, and the plot includes protagonist Mary (Jena Malone) getting herself pregnant trying to help her questioning high school boyfriend Dean (hottie Chad Faust) stay on the straight and narrow path.)
