Lift the Ban / Leave the State

The Advocate has a great little first-person narrative on being an out gay combat soldier in Iraq.

Meanwhile, the SLDN reports that, when Texas Gov. Richard Perry was recently asked what he would tell gay Iraq veterans about his state's new anti-gay marriage amendment, he responded: "Texans made a decision about marriage and if there's a state that has more lenient views than Texas [as if!] then maybe that's a better place for them to live."
