John, seems like your home state is causing troubles for the homosexuals yet again. A school board member in Fairfax sent letters to the 24 high school principals in his district this week. In the letter, board member Stephen M. Hunt voiced his concerns over the way homosexuality is taught recommended that schools bring in speakers to provide the perspective of ex-gays. Besides being homophobic, that's not really the job of an individual school board member. His or her job is to vote on policies, as part of the governance team, and then give direction to the superintendent. I hope the good people of Fairfax don't stand for his bigoted and micromanaging ways during the next election campaign.
