It's All Downhill From Here

T minus 4 years, mark. While the bigot brigades had a lot to be happy about last Thursday, perhaps the rest of us can rejoice in the fact that we have reached halfway point in George Bush's tenure as president. On the other hand, it's going to be a long, hard slog. [Hmm, why is that never as much fun as it sounds like it should be.] For starters, the BB isn't going to let Bush forget where their real priorities lie -- bashing gays. Faced with the harsh reality of four more years, I hope the gay movement takes a moment for some sober reflection on our priorities and -- more importantly -- developing a well-planned strategy for how to achieve them. (Well, it could happen!)
