The WashTimes notes how, for many politically-connected law firms and lobby shops, the Inaugural is an excuse to turn their cozy offices overlooking Pennsylvania Avenue into party central. As for us K Street'ers, we're just closing down for the day. We have no view of the parade but are stuck in the middle of traffic and security hell. I'm planning to work from home and avoid any chance of encountering SUV-driving Texas Republican party-goers with big hair and fur coats.
