What's In Your Pocket? - Robert Thompson, the Syracuse professor of TV, is branching out to other aspects of popular culture. In today's LATimes, he opines on the phenomenal success of the Apple iPod, its salutary effect on the company's computer sales, and the lifespan of consumer items that reach iconic status. Well, since I just bought one for Jamie, that surely means the iPod has jumped the shark.
