Last Word - The NYTimes' Adam Nagourney measures the lasting (or not) effects of Mary Cheney-gate. I'm inclined to agree it is just a "passing dust-up," but the trickier question is whether Kerry's gaffe (as it clearly was in some voters' minds) reinforced "existing concerns" about the candidate and if so, whether that's enough to sway the outcome. I've got my doubts.
