The Best Laid Plans of Karl Rove - According to the LA Times -- via Drew and electoral-vote.com -- enormous efforts by President Bush's advisors to mobilize the Christian conservative vote have not paid off. According to a survey, only 70% of self-described evangelicals or born-again Christians plan to vote for Bush. That's down from 74% three weeks ago and far lower than the 80-90% support that campaign officials had been forecasting. In fact, it's less than he received in 2000. So much for that Federal Marriage Amendment thing.
