Fond Farewell - The Beav lost a favorite last night with the passing of Julia Child in Santa Barbara. Always a big fan of her shows, I was delighted to see her kitchen at Copia in Napa and at the Smithsonian Museum of American History last January and May. My favorite secondhand memory of Julia is the time my aunt saw her in the Milwaukee Airport eating a bratwurst. When asked to rate it, she announced that the taste was only "Fair."
