I am a homo... sexual - To follow up on Ben's DVD post, here's my contribution to the Gen X nostalgia over the re-release on DVD of 1993's Reality Bites. I'd forgotten it was journeyman actor Steve Zahn who played gay for the movie. While it predates my own coming out by four years, I can vividly remember watching his character Sammy go through a nerve-wracking dress rehearsal for telling his parents and imagining what that experience would someday be like for me. At the time I'm not sure I even could imagine ever doing it -- oh, how times have changed.
