Meanwhile, DC continues its agonizingly slow efforts to revitalize itself as a residential choice for young urbanites with a new plan for the SW waterfront. (Yay, mixed-use lifestyle center!) Here's an idea -- how about if we do something to eliminate the sickening smell from the fish market if you want people to move there. As Jamie noted, Pike Place Market it ain't.
