Good News for Passengers?

I know Ben has suggested that US Airways has not chosen the best potential merger partner in America West. However, this WaPo column has a sunnier outlook, promising "one of the largest and far-reaching frequent flier programs of any budget carrier, including [Ben's fav] Southwest, JetBlue and AirTran." Add West Coast connections and big tie-ins to the hotel industry, and I'll be meeting ya in Las Vegas.
