First came AOL's recent announcement of a frightening eavesdropping policy for its instant messaging client (hat tip, Andy Towle). Now consumer advocates are up in arms about Amazon's plan to snoop on its customers' gift-giving habits. What is the world coming to, when you can't trust your favorite multinational corporate behemoths? Even Apple fanatics are starting lose faith!
