Charging for Content

Will people pay for online content that isn't porn? The NY Times asks if newspapers can end the free ride. One newspaper site that they highlight as an anomaly is the Calendar Live section of the Los Angeles Times which requires a $4.95 per month fee to view the entertainment information and listings. Of course, a spokesperson noted that "traffic to the site has declined and...the paper was reviewing the decision to charge for it." Keep the free rides coming!
