Slasher - Slash fiction is something that's never really interested me. Made up stories about athletes are one thing, because they usually play upon their physical attributes, not their personalities. However, when it comes to other celebrities, it's disconcerting to read a story about celebrity or character, when I am already familiar with the way they speak or act and I know the author is getting it all wrong. In a way, it's similar to my feeling about location scouting and art direction in porn films: if it's good, I shouldn't notice it, but if it's bad -- sunlight so bright the actors are getting burns, really bad furniture, unfortunate choices of personal grooming -- it distracts from the action.
