Louisiana Boy

Beaverhausen doesn't have a "Currently Loving" sidebar like some blogs I know, but if we did, my candidate would be Marc Broussard. The scion of a musical family, Marc "draw[s] vocal and stylistic influence from Otis Redding and Brian McKnight while bearing the preternaturally gruff voice of a John Hiatt or a Dr. John." (He's only 23.)

Tonight, I caught his video for "Home." In addition to showing off his woofy good looks, chest hair a-sprouting from his t-shirt collar, the vid is a poignant celebration of the little corner of Louisiana that just got whammied by Hurricane Rita.
