Top Subscriptions

The Chicago Tribune has released a list of the 50 Best Magazines. Like I said when last year's list came out, a collection of this many titles doesn't really hold much meaning. Plus, no matter how good it is, I'm unlikely to read People en Espanol. Our household subscribes to Vanity Fair, The Atlantic Monthly, New Yorker, Cook's Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, Newsweek, Esquire, and Consumer Reports, but I'm once again disappointed to not see any gay titles like Instinct (although most other gay magazines suck). But the one glaring omission seems to be the well-regarded new Martha Stewart cooking digest, Everyday Food. It's far more useful to me the insipid tips from readers feature in Cook's Illustrated.
