Confusion Is No Excuse For Homophobia

The Mayor of Spokane, Washington has been noted for supporting anti-gay legislation in the past. But now it has come to light that he has been a frequent user gay.com. The mayor seems to have difficulty in coming to terms with his sexuality, saying, "I don't want to go into the whole issue, but I wouldn't characterize me as 'gay'" and "I can't tell you why I go [on gay.com], to tell you the truth … curiosity, confused, whatever, I don't know." However, curiosity and acting on your desires seem like very different reactions.
