Well, it's official, Federated has aquired May and is likely to rebrand all the stores that remain open under the Macy's or Bloomingdale's brand name (a topic of long-time interest to the Beav). The situation will likely result in stores being sold off to other retailers looking to get a foothold in particular markets...and rumors abound that Nordstrom is looking to scoop up the Lord & Taylor location on Fifth Avenue for a Manhattan outpost.
