Logo Pushes Ahead - Viacom has announced details about the programs that will air on Logo, the new gay-themed cable channel. Highlights include original programming from Cher & Chastity Bono, Margaret Cho, Scott Thompson of Kids in the Hall, Alan Cumming, and a Bunim-Murray reality show set on a cruise ship. The channel also aquired the rights to a bunch of gay-themed and gay-friendly theatrical and made-for-TV titles, including Philadelphia and Mommie Dearest It will even premiere the television debut of Latter Days. Given that MTV Networks owns MTV and all its subchannels; VH1; Nickelodeon, Nick at Night and TV Land; Comedy Central; Spike TV and Noggin, among other channels, I'm hopeful that interested views won't have to worry about lobbying cable providers to add Logo to the lineup.
