At last, New Yorkers will have a clue what all those Applebee's TV commercials are about. Yet something about this story rings a bit false. After all, as the report admits, there's been a T.G.I. Friday's in Times Square for ages. But perhaps the point is that the chains are now infiltrating NYC's neighborhoods, not just the tourist traps where natives fear to tread.
